Registration & Records

Register for classes through your  or . Registration is also available in person at the Registrar's Office in the Enrollment Services Center, Room 223. Business hours are Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

  • Click on Academics, then Search for Classes
  • Select the term (semester)
    Term codes begin with 1 followed by the last two digits of the year and then the term number (1=Mini, 2=Spring, 3=Summer, 4=Fall). For example, Spring 2008 would be 1082.
  • Class Search Criteria - Select the subject (ex: English - ENGL), then Search
  • Click the Additional Search Criteria button to open a form that will allow you to search by days, times and instructors
  • Note the Class Number
    This is the four digit code you will enter when adding classes. The class number is listed with the course and section number
    (ex: MATH230.101 (1240) - the class number is 1240).
  • Can you explain courses marked "department consent required"?

    Special permission or departmental authorization is required for courses marked "Department Consent Required." Contact the academic department for authorization.

    drop a class

    • Log into the Student Center through Towson Online Services & select Self Service.
    • Click on Enroll/Drop (top left) & select the Drop tab.
    • Select term, continue & the course(s) to drop.
    • Select Drop Selected Classes & review.
    • Click Finish Dropping & print the View Results page for your record.
    • Click on My Class Schedule to review your changes.
    • Contact the Registrar's Office at 410-704-2701 for questions or problems.

    • This option is available during the Change of Schedule period.
    • Before dropping, be sure you are able to add classes.
    • Click on the tab at the top of the page
    • Select the class to swap
    • Enter the class to be added

    important to note:

    • If you are currently enrolled in another section of the same class or are in a class that has a time conflict with the waitlisted class:

      Use the “swap”feature to enroll in the waitlisted class.
      Swap the enrolled or conflicting class with the closed section, choosing the waitlist option.

      Once space is available in the waitlisted section, the system will automatically swap the enrolled class with the waitlisted class.

      If you use the “Waitlist” instead of the “Swap” feature the system will prevent you from being enrolled in the class because it sees that you are already registered for that class.
